Ben Frimmer | Training & Design

Ben joined True to Life in 2004 as a Team Leader and Content Specialist. His extensive background in Educational Theater and teaching makes him an essential part of True To Life’s content development and facilitator team. His understanding of children, in addition to his warmth and good humor makes him a favorite facilitator amongst our school and summer camp clients.

Ben currently teaches theatre at both Coleytown and Bedford Middle Schools in Westport, Connecticut where he is also the director of Coleytown Company. Ben is an accomplished professional actor and a prolific director having logged over 30 productions with both children and adults.

Having studied with Tony Goode, co-author of such books as Lessons for the Living: Drama and the Integrated Classroom, and Structuring Drama Work, Ben leads our Process Drama workshops with knowledge and experience.

Ben holds a BFA in Acting from Ithaca College, a Master's in Teaching from Sacred Heart University, and a Master's in Educational Theatre from New York University. Ben lives in Connecticut with his wife and newborn son.
